The Design Research area is focused on understanding human needs at a very deep level through a range of qualitative and quantitative techniques. The goal of developing this understanding is to ultimately develop insight that informs strategy and design for our clients.

The Design Research Specialist:

  • Defines and is responsible for the research track of work.
  • Ensures integration with broader project goals.
  • Leads primary research execution ensuring a collaborative experience with team and clients.
  • Helps develop key project deliverable and own any explicit research outputs.
  • Uncovers user needs through research, develop deep insights, generate concepts, and craft how people will interact with the products and services we design.
  • Contributes to and is accountable for service and experience strategy, interface structure, and interfaces at the project level
  • Contribute to assets offerings thought leadership
  • 7-9 years of relevant experience; 5-7 years of design research experience; 2+ years of design.
  • Lead design research activities including research planning, fieldwork execution, analysis, synthesis, research story and deliverables.
  • Define and lead research planning, execution and analysis based on relevant research and business objectives.
  • Work with Design Research Lead to define best practices and processes for research design across studio.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of data management. Ensure data is managed in line with Accenture policies and country-specific legal requirements.
  • Manage design research activities at the project level.
  • Accurately assess performance of self and subordinates
  • Lead design research deliverables at the project and account level.
  • Lead design research plans on projects and ensure execution is to a high standard. Manage individual client relationships from a design research standpoint. Participate in client stakeholder interviews and other design research client engagement activities.
  • Understanding of Service Design and digital product design (DPC).
  • Experience conceptualizing and managing design research initiatives from start to finish.
  • Advanced English level
